Irma

Hurricane Irma is approaching Haiti and Dominican Republic. Irma is a cat 5 with 185 mph winds. It is the largest Atlantic hurricane on record.

Haiti has little infrastructure or emergency response which leaves vulnerable people in grave danger from tropical storms. The impact of this monster cat 5 is a wait and see and we are in regular contact with our partner minustries.

We will post ways you can donate to help and have people on the ground ready to disperse your donations where needed most. Before compassionate care can happen people need to be safe, fed and with their basic needs addressed. We are very concerned for children being separated from their families and the risks of trafficking that follows natural disaster.

To give you an idea of this impact I'm sharing photos of housing in Haiti. Florida is preparing for 75 mph winds and our prayers are with our country. But I cannot imagine a day of 185+ mph winds in one of these structures.

Right now you can help by: Earnestly praying for protection of Haiti and her neighbors. Pray for our partners in the worst affected areas. Pray for the flooding that could be nationwide that people will stay in their homes.
